We provide supportive, individualized training, coaching, skills development, employment readiness, and preparation for people with disabilities to help them secure jobs like everyone else in the community: Proporcionar formación individualizada y empleo para personas con discapacidad.

We also guide individuals by providing education on career development, self-advocacy, resume writing, job searching, successful interview strategies, completion of assigned tasks, confidence building, and healthy socialization and boundaries in the workplace.

What Do We Do at Skill Rehab and Development in Arizona?

  1. We consider the whole-person approach and coach members in their development and socialization skills for use in relationships, their job search, and employer requirements.
  2. We believe all community members can work if they have the correct information.
  3. We deploy self-disciplined practices in the way we provide employment readiness.
  4. We connect people with real employment opportunities via public announcements, career builders or centers, employment resources, job events, non-profit organizations, schools, and online job boards.
  5. We support employment principles by using trained job coaches and coordinators.
  6. We provide a diversity of services and supports for people who desire to work.
  7. We meet people where they are and develop their skills, potential, and strengths.
  8. We promote, educate, and enlighten members, families, and employers about services and supports, members’ rights, and employment opportunities.

Pre-Employment Transitional Services (PRE-ETS)

  1. This service provides readiness for the job market through preparatory classes.
  2. We offer classes meant to be a student’s gateway to employment, education, and/or independent living.
  3. Class duration is negotiable depending on the topic and the needs of the school and/or student.
  4. Students are required to meet eligibility criteria: must be between the ages of 14 and 22 and have a documented disability.
